Marian McManus

Marian qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1992, having completed a training contract with R Tait Walker Chartered Accountants.

She then went on to work for other firms of Chartered Accountants including Grant Thornton and Clive Owen, until March 2006 when McManus Hall Chartered Accountants was launched. During this 14 year period she gained invaluable experience of working with owner managed businesses in the North East of England.

She has an impressive depth and breadth of experience of the challenges faced by owner managed businesses. This experience has been gained by being 'at the coal face' for 23 years.

Marian understands that remaining technically competent in an ever changing world is important. She is committed to attending professional courses to stay abreast of changes in taxation and accountancy legislation and practice.

Since March 2006 Marian has been dedicated to growing McManus Hall into a well respected leading firm of Chartered Accountants in the North East of England. The firm started based at Marian's kitchen table with 6 clients, it now occupies the top floor of Consett Innovation Centre and has in excess of 200 clients.

Marian understands the challenges of starting up and growing your own business, employing staff and taking on premises... because she has first hand experience. ...and a few scars

Outside work she enjoys hillwalking and cooking delicious meals for her family and friends.
